In the wake of Russia’s military aggression, the EU ‘is considering further steps to prevent, discourage, deter and respond to malicious behaviour in cyberspace’. To support these objectives a cybersecurity situational awareness and analysis centre would assist the Commission in supporting situational awareness and coordinated response to crises, including those of a hybrid nature, in line with the Commission’s existing competences and responsibilities.
The overall objective of the contract is to provide a bespoke service to support the scoping, design and development of an EU cybersecurity situational awareness and analysis centre for the Commission.
The three specific objectives for the contract are set out below:
1. set up a virtual situation centre;
2. review best practice and support the setting up of a physical situation centre;
3. ensure full interoperability with EU entities responsible for cybersecurity situational awareness and analysis.
