Conclusion of a co-operation agreement with a private health insurance company for the joint distribution of supplementary insurance in the areas of health insurance and long-term care insurance.
With more than 3 million insured persons and a budget volume of around EUR 12 billion, AOK Rheinland/Hamburg — Die Gesundheitskasse (hereinafter referred to as AOK) is one of the “top 10” among statutory health insurance companies in Germany. In the future, 7 900 employees will support customers in all matters relating to health in 53 branch offices and 21 AOK houses.
In addition to a comprehensive range of statutory services, the AOK offers many additional offers for insurance in the event of illness and care — from various services to supplementary insurance (the optimal combination of statutory benefits and supplementary benefits “from a single source”).
In doing so, it operates within the statutory provisions (Section 194 para. 1a SGB V, Section 47 (2) SGB XI) as well as the framework set by the supervisory authorities.
In order to enable AOK to offer its insured persons the range of supplementary insurance services and, if necessary, gradually expand it, AOK is looking for a cooperation partner in the field of private health and long-term care insurance.
