The Ålesund Regional Port Authority [Ålesundregionens Havnevesen (ÅRH)] will enter into a framework agreement with a tenderer for transport and

treatment of waste, which cannot be handled together with normal ship waste due to its chemical,

physical and/or biological properties.

The objective of the procurement is to enter into a contract that shall safeguard and manage the waste system that is

imposed the port authority in accordance with the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships (MARPOL) 73/78

as well as directive 2000/59/EC, amended in the directive 2002/84/EF on maritime safety and the prevention of pollution and

cargo residues from ships (hereinafter referred to as the Regulations).

The Ålesund Regional Port Authority will enter into a framework agreement with a tenderer for the transport and treatment of liquid waste that cannot be handled together with other normal ship waste due to its chemical, physical and/or biological properties.
