The activities relate to the functional maintenance of the public lighting installation (OVL) and mainly consist of:

- the organization and operation of a fault guard service,

- execution of group replacement,

- performing regular maintenance,

- elimination of malfunctions and defects,

- repairing damage caused by collisions and vandalism,

- (relocating) light towers,

- re-alignment of skewed masts,

- replacement of masts and fixtures,

- the cleaning of fixtures,

- the preservation (painting) of lighting columns,

- reporting the work performed,

- the delivery of damage information in the event of a collision for the purpose of claiming damages,

- the provision of mutations for the benefit of data files.

The total number of light objects for the 3 municipalities amounts to a total of approximately 8 810 pieces and is divided as follows:

Bergen, approximately 3,060 units (= number of connections to the Enexis network);

Gennep, approximately 3 695 units (= number of connections to the Enexis network);

Mook and Middelaar, approximately 1 635 units (= number of connections to the Enexis network).

Based on an estimate, the total number of disruptions is around 700 units per year for all municipalities combined.
