The use of district heat is measured at approximately 15,500 metering centres.
The use of district cooling is measured at approximately 550 measuring centres.
Metering and remote reading also include other heat and cooling energy measurements that are not directly related to the above-mentioned measurements. metering centres connected to heating networks.
The measuring centres are equipped with measuring instruments suitable for the conditions in question, which include the communication capabilities required for remote reading operations. The measuring centres also have devices that limit e.g. power and flow. Metering data on energy use are recorded hourly separated by metering equipment.
Approximately 1,700 measuring instruments are first installed or replaced periodically each year.

The facility for installation and maintenance operations (the Supplier is responsible for the premises) and its equipment storage are geographically located so that the time distance between the premises and Helen's individual measuring objects is no more than 50 minutes when the transfer takes place by road by service vehicle in normal traffic conditions. If necessary, 3,000 measuring and remote reading devices as well as the required number of spare parts, installation accessories and other accessories such as antennas, actuators and mounting enclosures can be placed in the equipment storage.
Technical expert services provide monitoring, analysis and development services related to the entity offered to the Customer, which require the services in question. relevant expertise.
Calibration in laboratory conditions The purpose of operations is to ensure the correctness of the operation of measuring instruments throughout their life cycle. Calibration in laboratory conditions is in accordance with SFS-EN ISO/IEC 17025.
Approximately 1,500 energy meters or their sub-units are calibrated annually.
Remote reading collects measurement data from measuring devices and transfers them to the metering information system used by the Contracting entity at least once a day via the mobile network. Data transfer from the measuring instruments to the remote reading system takes place either on the push or pull principle, depending on the type of device.
Quality control monitors the daily quantitative and qualitative success of metering and remote reading operations and initiates various types of corrective actions based on its observations.
The provider must have in place an ERP system suitable for the entity and the customer service channels required for service management. It must be possible to produce comprehensive reports on work performance and other services, and monthly monitoring and development meetings will be held on the service. Metering and remote reading operations are constantly being developed, and larger than usual development projects are agreed separately.
Metering and remote reading operations comply with the relevant laws, decrees and other regulations issued by the authorities. As a rule, district heat metering and remote reading operations are carried out in accordance with Finnish Energy's District Heat Metering Recommendation K13/2022. District cooling metering and remote reading operations are carried out where applicable. in accordance with the instructions.
The supplier must offer the whole. Partial bids will not be accepted. Alternative tenders will not be accepted unless specifically requested in the invitation to tender.
