With this tender, framework contracts are put out to tender, which are to regulate the procurement of emergency vehicles over the next 5 years. In addition, an option to extend the framework agreements by one year (6-year total term) will be put out to tender. The tender is necessary because the existing framework agreements expire at the end of 2023.
The Bern Cantonal Police currently employs around 300 emergency vehicles in various categories. Emergency vehicles are always vehicles with special installations and extensions (e.g. blue lights, radio preparation and case systems). As part of this tender, suppliers are now to be evaluated who can ensure the delivery of emergency vehicles (including the necessary installations and extensions (according to the specifications) over the next 5-6 years.
