The town of Zarrentin am Schaalsee is located on the western border in Mecklenburg-Mecklenburg-Württemberg.
Vorpommern in the district of Ludwigslust-Parchim. The town of Zarrentin am Schaalsee counts
about 5,300 inhabitants. The high quality of life in the Schaalsee Biosphere Reserve (UNESCO Natural Heritage)
is characterized by its favorable geographical location in the metropolitan region of Hamburg.
On an area of around 7 hectares on the western edge of the city between Zecher Weg
in the north and Möllnsche Straße, the construction of the "New School Campus" is planned. This
consists of three buildings:
• the regional school for 336 pupils • the primary school for 320 pupils with after-school care and • a
multifunctional dual sports hall with canteen as well as the expansion and conversion of the existing
Sports field (type C arena) including the development of the area and the design of all
necessary outdoor facilities. In addition, the school campus will be improved by the construction of a new pedestrian and secondary school.
