Supply of wooden poles

RTE, operator of the French electric transmission network, has a small park of wooden porticoes for lines located in medium mountains.

As part of the renewal of the contract for the supply of wood poles, RTE is looking for a supplier capable of delivering for three to five years. For your information, our average current annual need over the past three years is between 200 and 300 poles.

These poles have a height of 15, 17, 19, 21 or 22 m.

As part of the renewal of the contract for the supply of wood poles, RTE is looking for a supplier capable of delivering for three to five years. For your information, our average current annual need over the past three years is between 200 and 300 poles.

These poles have a height of 15, 17, 19, 21 or 22 m, for a minimum bending strength of 24 N/mm2 (minimum class C24 according to EN 338).

The holder shall carry out a non-destructive test on each pole to measure its bending strength.

The poles must be delivered to construction sites located throughout France.

The poles to be supplied are either raw (unprocessed) or treated to a treatment with the following specifications:

— the preservative must be of Class 4 SP;

— the preservative must comply with EN 15228, EN 14229 and EN 599-1 and must comply with French environmental requirements (ecotoxicological tests and others) or propose equivalent European standards. The product must be certified by a laboratory with departmental accreditation and be included in the list of certified products (see CTB-P+);

— the holder must have CTB-B+ accreditation;

— the preservative impregnated in the pole must not flow during delivery, storage or when the pole is in service;

— the preservative must not be washed out and must also comply with EN 84;

— the preservative must not contain CMR substances (carcinogen, mutagenic, reprotoxic) and comply with REACH regulations.

The product currently used on the network is Korasit KS2, creosote treatment is prohibited.

Finally, the holder must be able to prove the origin of timber poles from sustainably managed forests.
