For the capacity expansion of the special school 53 (Comeniusschule Potsdam), an extension with a sports hall is planned on the grounds of the school.

The main dimensions of the new building to be constructed are approximately: width / length / height = 41.25 / 35.90 / 12.65 m.

The new building is divided into a building part without a basement and a building part with a basement.

The construction site can be approached via an asphalted driveway from Finkenweg. This driveway is max. 3 m wide and 35 m long.

In the area of the road Am Brauhausberg running to the south, an asphalt construction site equipment area is being built on site. The street level is approx. 6 m above the ground area within the construction site.

Parallel to the construction work, school operations will continue in the neighbouring existing building of the Comenius Special School. Due to this sensitive use and the proximity to private residential buildings, vibrations, dust and noise emissions must be reduced to a minimum.
