Conclusion of a framework agreement for the retrieval of molecular genetic analytical services - Creation of DNA profiles (analyses) on oral cavity swabs.

In this case, DNA profiles (DNA identification patterns) from 17 DAD feature systems of the German DNA analysis file are to be created from oral cavity swabs according to the latest scientific knowledge, in compliance with strict quality assurance measures.

Based on the volume of samples taken in recent years, an annual order volume of approx. 7,000 oral cavity swabs is expected, which will be collected by all police stations in the state of Baden-Württemberg or on their behalf by other bodies in accordance with § 81 g or § 81 h StPO. In addition, there are about 700 oral cavity swabs per year as part of the Employee Database DNA Police (MADB-Pol).

Due to unforeseeable criminal developments and changes in the law, the volume of samples and thus the scope of the analytical contracts to be awarded could be subject to larger, uncontrollable, fluctuations. Therefore, no certain sample volume can be guaranteed as a minimum purchase quantity. The maximum amount of samples taken per year is 10,000 oral swabs.
