Project description:

The district of Darmstadt-Dieburg is planning an integrated comprehensive school in Groß-Umstadt on the approx. 27,230 m² site of the Ernst Reuter School with a three-stream primary and four-stream secondary school, a canteen and a gymnasium. The GFA will reach approximately 13,000 m².

The three-storey new building consists of a central access building with an entrance area, canteen and Nawi rooms, which are adjoined by two buildings in which the classrooms (clusters) as well as administration, kitchen and all-day rooms are housed. After completion of the new building, the interim buildings will be moved to the new building and the interim buildings will be dismantled.

A development plan is available ("In den Wiesen", as of 31.10.1973).

The building is to be constructed in accordance with the school building guidelines and the guidelines for sustainable construction in the passive house standard.
