The aim of the notice is to enter into a service contract for the procurement of a transport scheme for the libraries in the county.

The county library is, in accordance with the law, obliged to organise the loan cooperation in the county. As a part of this, Samsøk has been implemented — joint searches in the library databases in the county — and work to increase remote loans and other materials between the different libraries. Remote loans is a cooperation between the libraries, where the libraries make their collections available for borrowers at other libraries, both in the county and nationally.

A part of the remote loan cooperation is a joint transport scheme between libraries.

Such a transport scheme involves simplified routines, predictable transport costs, greater flow of media between libraries and thereby better service for loaners. Besides transport between libraries within the county, such a transport scheme will also include sending/transporting books and other materials to libraries outside Sogn og Fjordane, both nationally and internationally.

On the basis of this, we would like tenders for a transport scheme between libraries. See annex 12 for an overview of the different libraries that shall be included in the contract. The delivery days and dates are specified here.
