66. Tendering - Midttrafik south and centre

Midttrafik's 66th tender covers the operation of local and regional routes in and around Horsens and Hedensted Municipality, the southern part of the Central Denmark Region as well as regional routes around Silkeborg, Viborg and Randers Municipality. The services are offered in two separate lots.

Package 1 - Midttrafik Syd

The tender covers the operation of regional and local regular services in and around Horsens and Hedensted Municipality as well as the southern part of the Central Denmark Region.

The services are offered in the same package in order for the bus company to exploit any synergies in overall operations, e.g. charging infrastructure for the buses and flexible use of the buses across the routes.

This includes 71,622 timetable hours per year using 35 contract buses and a minimum of 5 spare buses.

- Parallel offer

Midttrafik's 66th tender is a tender with two packages with parallel offers, where bus companies can submit tenders for driving electric buses or diesel buses for one or both packages.

In concrete terms, this means that bus companies can submit offers for each of the packages

1) driving with brand new low-entry electric buses for a 10-year contract period,

2) or max 12-year low-entry diesel buses for a 4-year contract period. The offer for diesel buses is supplemented by an option offer for CO2-neutral biodiesel.

Selected routes in the tender are so small that these must be operated with electric buses – regardless of whether they offer parallel offers with electric or diesel buses.

-Propellant

It is possible to bid on the package with either electric or minimum euronorm 6 diesel buses. It is a requirement that only buses/solutions are offered, where there are no infrastructure initiatives in the urban space. This means that when tendering for electric buses, tenders may not be made with buses that require the installation of charging stations in the urban space; It must be possible to charge electric buses at the bus company's own facilities or other facilities approved for the purpose.

- Contract period – electric buses

The contract included in the tender is a fixed-term contract of 10 years for parallel offers for electric buses – here with the possibility of extension for up to 2 x 2 years under the following conditions:

1) Midttrafik can extend the contract for up to 2 years. At Midttrafik's option, extensions can be made for 1 year at a time.

2) After this, the parties may, by mutual agreement, extend the contract for up to another 2 years. Extension can be made by mutual agreement of the parties for 1 year at a time.

Package 1 contains a contract period where the contract start is divided into 3 different start dates:

- 29 June 2025 – 15 contract buses, plus 2 spare buses and 9 buses for auxiliary travel

- 31 August 2025 – 14 contract buses and 3 spare buses

-28. september 2025 – 6 kontraktbusser

All to contract termination on 30 June 2035

- Contract period – diesel buses

The contract included in the tender is a fixed-term contract of 4 years for parallel offers on diesel buses – here with the possibility of extension for up to 2 x 1 year under the following conditions:

1) Midttrafik may extend the contract by 1 year.

2) After this, the parties may, by mutual agreement, extend the contract for another 1 year.

Package 1 contains a contract period where the contract start is divided into 3 different start dates:

- 29 June 2025 – 15 contract buses, plus 2 spare buses and 9 buses for auxiliary travel

- 31 August 2025 – 14 contract buses and 3 spare buses

The tender covers the operation of regional regular services around the municipalities of Silkeborg, Viborg and Randers.

The services are offered in the same package in order for the bus company to exploit any synergies from combined operations, e.g. charging infrastructure for the buses and flexible use of the buses across routes.

This includes 45 012 timetable hours per year, using 19 contract buses and 3 spare buses.

Midttrafik's 66th tender is a tender with a parallel offer of 2 packages, where bus companies can submit tenders for driving electric buses or diesel buses for one or both packages.

In concrete terms, this means that bus companies can submit offers for each of the packages
