Scope of work is transport and treatment of residual waste and wet-organic waste mainly from households (amounts for 2012):

A: 7.850 tons/year residual waste collected from households.

B: 1.300 tons/year burnable residual waste from recycling centres.

C: 3.400 tons/year wet-organic waste from households..

The offer has to include total waste amount in tender and include an option on local transport of waste in containers from 7 recycling centres. All waste in main contract has to be picked up at Narvik and Harstad. Contract open up for changes in waste amount with +/-30% in contract period.

Tender includes pick up waste at transfer station, transport to treatment plants, and energy recovery and disposal of fertilizer/soil products from eventually biological treatment.

Incineration of wet-organic waste is acepted, but biological treatment will be considered to give better environmental benefits.
