The IGS "Johanna Loewenherz" in Neuwied consists of two separate buildings. In the house ROT of the IGS, a fire protection renovation is to be carried out in accordance with the approved fire protection concept. In addition, it is planned to build an elevator in stairwell 1 for barrier-free access. In the course of this measure, electrical planning services are required.
- A new 4.5-storey escape staircase is to be built on the SOUTH-EAST gable. In this respect, there is a change in the emergency exit situation and the illuminated escape route signs have to be rearranged. The escape route must be equipped with emergency luminaires except for the public area (sidewalk on the street or schoolyard). The emergency exit doors should usually be locked. In order to prevent unhindered exit or uncontrolled entry into the school building, escape route guards should be used. Whether an acoustic signal is sufficient or whether a message is to be forwarded will be determined in further planning.
- A new elevator will be built in stairwell 1. This requires a low-voltage supply line with a cross-section to be determined and a connection to the public telecommunications network.
The connections can be removed from the technical room opposite.
When crossing the necessary corridors or stairwell, the supply lines must be sealed off for fire protection.
Furthermore, a stair lift system will be installed on the 1st floor (supply line and control).
- In the entire house RED various fire doors are replaced or new ones installed. In some cases, open systems (locking) are planned. The determination is still to be made. Approximately 25 new fire doors with electrical connections can be assumed.
- For the ceiling connection of the new BS doors as well as for testing and reducing the fire load in the necessary corridors, existing suspended ceilings are opened. Cables and wires must be fastened in accordance with MLAR and the fire loads must be structurally sealed by suitable measures.
After installation of new suspended ceilings, these must be equipped with LED luminaires and other technical attachments/installations (e.g. loudspeakers), taking into account the safety requirements.
It can be assumed that there are about 5 corridors in which fire load upgrading is necessary.
- In various areas, in particular in the old building area fire section 2, the ceilings are opened in order to strengthen the existing wooden beam construction in terms of fire protection.
After installation of new suspended ceilings, these must be equipped with LED luminaires and other technical attachments/installations (e.g. loudspeakers), taking into account the safety requirements.
It can be assumed that there are about 6 corridors, about 11 classrooms and about 7 adjoining rooms, in which a wooden beam upgrade is necessary.
- In the 2nd escape route UG and EG in fire section 1, networked smoke detectors are to be used according to the fire protection concept.
- A central security lighting system is available. According to the current fire protection concept, the installation of emergency lighting is necessary in the necessary corridors, the stairwells and the multi-purpose room. The condition of the existing system is described (e.g. by the TÜV) with significant defects. Due to the defective luminaires / equipment, the system is not to be regarded as operational.
This safety system must be completely overhauled. It is assumed that a new construction of the plant is more economical than an adaptation and repair.
- Inspection of the electrical system.
- Smoke and heat exhaust tests.
- Inspection of the alarm system.
- Inspection of the protection system.
For the v.g. Measures/partial performance of electrical installation current costs in the gross amount of € 295,715.00 were estimated.
