The pilot PC shall be connected to the ship's AIS. This unit, which hereafter is called AIS-PPU, transfers such data over a wireless network. The unit shall be able to be an independent GPS and it shall have a separate built-in ROT module.

The contracting authority shall make a single procurement of approx. 160-2 000 units when the contract is signed. It is difficult to estimate the number of procurements further into the contract period as these will mainly be supplementary procurements.
