The Development Department sees to the builder function for municipal construction projects within schools and nurseries, nursing homes, the fire and chimney sweeping service, arts buildings, sports buildings and administration buildings. So as to see to this need for new building, some module buildings are used in addition to buildings built on site.

Obligatory independent inspections in construction cases were implemented with effect from 1.1.2013, cf. the Planning and Building Act (pbl) § 24-1 and § 24-2. The contracting authority has, therefore, a need for the independent inspection function for engineering design services (building physics, construction safety and geotechniques). The framework agreement shall see to the need for this type of service. The framework agreement shall also cover inspection of other inspection areas, in addition to those legally imposed, where required by the building authorities. In this event this will be further described in each individual assignment.
