Partly on the surfaces of the Leuna Chemical Park; but predominantly on its eastern flank are extensive systems (sealing wall, drainage, drainage shafts) for holding contaminated groundwater. Included are far-reaching pressure lines, other media lines, power supply lines and control cables installed. In addition, a groundwater purification system (purely biological vertical filter system) and infiltration basin are operated. These entire facilities, media terraces, installations, control and the land area including fencing are subject to the request of operator services and regeneration, maintenance and repairs. In addition, services for documentation, occupational safety and metrological and analytical monitoring are required. The operator also maintains a continuous standby service / incident management.
