The subject of this call for tenders is to contribute to the fostering innovative, smart and sustainable solutions in tourism by tourism destinations through the organisation of the competitions for the European Capitals of Smart Tourism and for the European Destination of Excellence (EDEN). The overarching objective is to support European destinations and cities by awarding their transformation to smart and sustainable tourism destinations, giving visibility to winners and their outstanding achievements in the field of tourism. The action will contribute as well to establishing a framework of exchange of best practices between destinations participating in the contests, including mutual learning and networking, creating opportunities for cooperation and new partnerships.
