Description:
Provision of PR Support for St Bartholomew’s 900th Anniversary Campaign

In March 2023 St Bartholomew’s Hospital, will celebrate its 900th anniversary. St Bartholomew’s Hospital was founded in 1123 and is the oldest hospital in England still providing services on its original site.

The Barts Health NHS Trust, to which St Bartholomew's Hospital belongs, and its key partners — the London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Barts Charity and Barts Heritage — see the 900th anniversary as a unique opportunity to raise a significant sum to support the transformation of healthcare in east London. The immediate target is GBP 75 million and the Trust are identifying a number of strategic projects that will speak both to the compelling history of the Hospital and to the healthcare needs of current and future generations. The Trust is also keen to establish a network of long-term donor relationships. The 900th anniversary is, therefore, an opportunity to raise the profile of all the partners so we can sustain fundraising after 2023 and meanwhile also another opportunity to celebrate the extraordinary people and amazing work across the Trust.

The Trust and its partners are looking for external public relations support to ensure the success of the fund-raising campaign and boost celebrations for this key milestone in the hospital’s history. The successful bidder will supplement and work in close collaboration with the communications teams of the Trust and its partner organisations.

The preferred supplier should:

• have demonstrable previous experience of leading on PR services for successful large-scale fund-raising campaigns that include both capital and revenue elements (minimum GBP 20 million);

• have a track record of delivering creative, innovative and impactful communications;

• be familiar with working in and for the NHS or the wider public sector;

• be available to carry out the required work within the timeframes stated;

• commit to working collaboratively with and to the partner organisations;

• demonstrate value for money;

• have no conflict of interests.
