The services to be insured are:

a) separate collection with the door-to-door system of urban and similar waste, aimed at recovery and re-use, as well as transport and disposal at the relative facilities;

b) the collection with the door-to-door system, the transport and disposal of residual dry non-recyclable waste as it is;

c) cleaning of roads and public areas, including washing, grubbing of interstitial grasses and weeding;

d) cleaning of drains, grills, wolf's mouths and road drains;

e) information and awareness.

In compliance with the provisions of paragraph 3.3.3, last sentence, of the minimum environmental criteria - CAM - approved by decree of the Ministry of the Environment and of the protection of the territory and the sea on 02.23.2014, the contract provides for charging the the contractor, in full, the cost of the contributions to the landfill, to the disposal plant, to the treatment plant.

The criteria underlying the conduct and management of the services covered by the contract are those of effectiveness, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, transparency, technical and economic feasibility in compliance with the regulations in force concerning participation and access to environmental information, with the attainment of of the collection targets of the regional plan approved with Regional Law n. 45 of 19.12.2007 and subsequent amendments, of the prevention of waste production, maximum user satisfaction, respect for the environment and the safeguarding of hygiene and public health, with the aim of:

a) reduce the amount of urban waste to be sent to disposal plants;

b) improve the quality of the waste sent to the treatment and recovery plants;

c) reduce to the essential the positioning on public soil of containers for waste collection;

d) collect the following minimum percentages of urban waste separately:

d.1) at least 70% by 31.12.2020;

d.2) at least 85% by 31.12.2021;

d.3) over 85% for the following years of validity of the contract.
