Telemark police district, henceforth referred to as the Awarding Authority shall procure a police boat. The boat shall primarily be used along the coast of Telemark and also in open Norwegian water. The assignments are many and varying and the Awarding Authority will require a boat that to the largest possible degree meets the Awarding Authority’s requirements for all areas.

The key points in connection with assessment of tenders are i.a.: Stability and seaworthiness, speed potential, good navigation systems, operational reliability, protected and safe work environment both under roof and on deck.

The equipment should in general be of such quality that it is suitable for professional maritime use as described above. The boat will be placed at sea as long as the sea is ice-free. The boat will be in use almost every day during high season, i.e. from June and until end of August.

When the boat is not in regular patrol service, the boat shall be in stand-by and shall be ready for use 24/7. The police district comprises of other units and districts in accordance with requirements.
