The contracting authority shall establish a backup power supply system to ensure an uninterruptible and secure power supply (UPS). The plant must have very high reliability and ensure a stable power supply also in the event of error conditions that may occur upstream (supply network), and on the load side.
The main system comprises a diesel generator together with UPS The delivery of an optional system is included in the tender contest. This delivery includes a combined system; Diesel Rotary UPS (DRUPS).
The power supply shall be installed in new buildings and rooms designated for this purpose. The expected capacity is in the range of 300-600 kVA.
The assignment consists of delivering a total of 7 similar plants, spread over the period 2024-2028. The plants are to be placed in 7 Norwegian municipalities. The supplier must carry out detailed engineering design, deliver and install the equipment. The equipment shall also be tested and tried (trial operation) before final takeover.
The equipment and machines must have a long technical life of 20 years or more. It must also be possible to offer a nationwide service agreement.
The manufacturer of equipment for all installations must have a service network in Norway, including factory-authorised mechanics.
