The project involves inspection, testing, and repair works for various concrete and masonry structures managed by Southampton City Council, including residential, commercial, and industrial buildings, with an expanded scope covering concrete and masonry repairs, joint resealing, site investigations, and more.
Inspection, Testing & Repair Works to Concrete & Masonry Structures.
This bidding opportunity is for undertaking inspection, testing & repair works to concrete and masonry structures (structural and non-structural); including residential tower blocks and other residential buildings, council buildings, schools, commercial and industrial buildings and other structures owned and/or managed by Southampton City Council. The scope of work to be covered by this contract expands on that of the previous contract by including:-
• concrete repairs & surface (eg. walkway) treatments;
• masonry repairs;
• movement joint repairs (inc. resealing);
• site investigations (inc. concrete testing & soil testing);
• repairs to concrete floors and roofs;
• underpinning works;
• repairs to retaining walls;
• repairs to sea defences;
• and any other similar general concrete/masonry defect repairs.
