The Copernicus European earth observation and monitoring programme has entered its operational phase following the adoption of the Regulation (EU) No 377/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 3.4.2014 establishing the Copernicus Programme and repealing Regulation (EU) No 911/2010. The global land component is earmarked as a component of the land service and has been operational since 2013. The purpose of this contract is to operate, evaluate and evolve this global land component. It is organised in 4 lots. Lots 1, 2 and 3 are separate but not necessarily independent, while lot 4 is independent.
Lot 1: ‘Operation of the global land component, thematic domain vegetation and energy’.
Lot 2: ‘Operation of the global land component, thematic domain cryosphere and water’.
Lot 3: ‘Operation of the global land component, data distribution and user interface’.
Lot 4: ‘Product and service independent evaluation and user group’.
