The present call includes the planning of the extension of the Kiel Canal between NOK km 86,100 and NOK km 92,000

This section of the line is further divided into the following sections:

— Landwehr curve with the Landwehr ferry facility (NOK-km 86,100 to 88,500 on the north side of the NOK),

— Wittenbeker curve (NOK-km 87,500 to 91,100 on the south side of the NOK),

— transition to the Schwartenbek switch (NOK-km 90,500 to 92,000 on the north side of the NOK),

— Warleberg deposit area — Central.

The Landwehr curve with the Landwehr ferry facility and the Warleberg-Zentral deposition area are further grouped and referred to as Section 2.1.

The Wittenbek curve and the switch Schwartenbek are also grouped together and referred to as Section 2.2.

The track construction work in the above-mentioned sections involves the widening of the NOK.

Due to the widening of the NOK, a total of approx. 4.5 million m3 wet and dry floors are generated. The banks to be remanufactured shall be secured with a ceiling.

In the course of the expansion, numerous inlet structures have to be cancelleted and rebuilt.

The Warleberg Central deposit area is to be redeveloped. The surplus dry floor shall be stored in Warleberg Central.

The ferry station Landwehr has to be replanned. The old ferry is canceled.

Section 2.1 (Landwehr curve, Landwehr ferry facility and the development of the Warleberg depositorate area) is to be planned first. Section 2.2 (Wittenbeker curve and transition to Weriche Schwartenbek) will be edited following section 2.1.

The planning services for both sections include:

— review of the existing planning status and familiarisation with the existing documents,

— Site planning, structural design and technical equipment planning for the various structures such as: line extension, Landwehr ferry, development of the Landwehr

deposition areas Warleberg-Central, temporary transhipment points, traffic facilities, drainage systems,

— preparation of soil assessments,

— preparation of an expert report on the handling of loaded subsoil,

— Preparation of an opinion on the handling of loaded and dismantling structures,

— preparation of the soil transfer concept,

— creation of a transport and construction site safety concept,

— development of a concept for protective measures against degradation of construction time,

— profitability calculations,

— the establishment of a safety and health approach,

— drawing up the design AU according to VV-WSV 2107 for each section,

— prepare the procurement documents in accordance with VV-WSV 2102 for each section.
