Varanger Museum has overtaken the previous NRK building in Vadsø as the museum's department in town. The facility will be developed as a national museum for Finnish/Norwegian-Finnish culture and history. The building is already being used by the museum, but is dependent on specific upgrading and reconstruction in order to satisfy new functional requirements and space requirements. As part of the process, a preliminary project including a cost estimate must be prepared. Furthermore, an option must be offered for any continuation of the project in a detailed engineering design phase.
