The BMWK market development programme is intended to make it easier for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), the self-employed in the commercial sector as well as specialist liberal professions and business-related service providers with business operations in Germany to enter new markets and to lead to further successes in export activities.

The exhibition is a business trip to a specific target country with a symposium. As part of the business trip, the performance of German companies from an industry or an industry segment is to be presented and the network in the target market to be expanded. The event, which should be technically demanding and appealing to the addressee abroad, forms the focus of the trip. The format is rounded off by a conference magazine for applications in the target country, a target market analysis, a briefing for the participants on the market as well as suitable property and reference visits.
