In this process, technical equipment services in sizes 1-3 + 8 are to be allocated for the construction of a gymnasium at the Wickerbach primary school in Wiesbaden-Naurod. In parallel, in other procedures, services of the building project planning (application for participation completed), structural planning and technical equipment are tendered under size 4-6.

The Wickerbach Primary School gymnasium (former Rudolf Dietz School) is to be rebuilt as a two-field sports hall with associated side rooms in accordance with current DIN 18032-1.

The hall, with a playing field of 22m x 44m and a clear height of 7m, should be divisible in the middle. In addition to school use, club sports with the ability to compete in basketball and volleyball, not in international competition operations, are also intended for use. The gym should not be used as a meeting place, grandstands or disabled sports are not planned.

A study from 2014 is enclosed in the annex to this announcement. This shows a draft and a variant analysis of the gym's location on the property.

The design shown in the study and the location of the gymnasium are communicated as a preferred option in the various committees in the city, but not necessarily binding. In addition, the 5th train drawn in the study is not the subject of planning. Implementation is currently not planned, but is reserved.

When planning and implementing the new building, it is important to have a comprehensive orientation in terms of sustainability aspects in every respect.

Due to the declared climate emergency, new buildings in the state capital should generally be built in accordance with passive house standards (without certification). The extent to which this makes sense for this construction project must be clarified at the beginning of the planning process. In any case, integrative planning, holistic concept ideas and sustainability aspects play a central role in planning and implementation.

Due to local conditions, the heat supply in the gym must be designed independently of the school. The client prefers a solution with combined heat and power.

The supply of drinking water for the new building is to be coupled with the existing supply of the school on the request of the supplier.

Scope:

Technical equipment services are awarded according to §§ 53 ff. HOAI LPH 1-9 appl. 1-3 + 8.

Step-by-step commissioning is planned (first LPH 1-4, then LPH 5-9 after committee approval). The individual project stages will be called up successively according to project progress. Should the client decide that the project will be terminated after a project stage has been completed, no further retrieval will be made. The contractor is not entitled to call up further project stages.

Project period:

The new school building has already been completed and the old school buildings will be demolished at the end of the year (not covered by this process).

Planning lines for the new gym building are expected to be awarded in mid-2022. Since planning is expected to be around one year, the construction of the gym is scheduled to begin in early to mid-2023. With a construction period of approximately 1.5 years, the gymnasium is expected to be completed by mid-2024.

Planners should note that after the building decision, the project will be suspended for 3-6 months due to committee decisions until the start of execution.

Project costs:

According to a cost estimate from 2014 and indexing at 5% to 2023 including round-up for unforeseen events, costs of approximately 3.1 million euros net for building construction and 1.4 million euros net for technical facilities are expected.
