We are seeking a new portable multibeam sonar and Backscatter acquisition survey system that will allow us to obtain high resolution bathymetry and normalised Backscatter data sets.
As part of the SEACAMS2 project, Bangor University is undertaking a range of collaborative research projects with the marine renewable sector working in or based in Wales. Our 2 main research platforms for subtidal sampling are the 35 m Research Vessel (RV) ‘Prince Madog’ and the 7,9 m inshore survey vessel ‘Macoma’. We are seeking a new portable multibeam sonar and backscatter acquisition survey system that will allow us to obtain high resolution bathymetry and normalised backscatter data sets from these vessels and possibly other vessels of opportunity.
