The contracting authority requests tenders for mapping the coastal zone for Ulstein, Herøy, Sande, Vanylven and Hareid municipalities, by using airborne laser. The objective is to obtain detailed terrain data with minimum 4 points classified as seabed per square meter down to 5 metres depth under chart datum, as well as sufficient on-shore data to combine these with existing data.

The objective of the data acquisition for this project is to cover the gap between the existing elevation data on land and detailed, unrestricted depth data collected with multi-beam echo-sounders at sea, so that seamless terrain models from mountain tops to seabed can be obtained. The data will also be used for other purposes, such as analyses of sediments, etc. Backscatter/intensity of return is therefore an important part of the delivery.
