The Brussels Capital region has decided to carry out an ambitious project to reinforce the tourist and cultural dynamic by setting up a museum of modern and contemporary art in the Canal area.
Beyond its interest and its intrinsic importance, this cultural project must promote the revitalization and revitalization of this territory and allow to reweave the links between the 2 banks of the Canal. It must also help to amplify the Brussels tourist offer.
In order to realize this desire, the region acquired, through the Urban Development Company (SAU), the building of the old Citroën garage at Place de l'Yser in Brussels, hereinafter referred to as the Site, in order to transform it into a cultural place.
The Kanal private law foundation was created on 29.9.2017 and the constituting act was published in the MB on 5.10.2017. She is subrogating the SAU in the implementation of this project.
In the perspective of a long-term partnership, the region and the Center Pompidou, a French public establishment which houses one of the most important collections of modern and contemporary art, made up of more than 120,000 works, have signed a protocol of '' agreement on 29.9.2016.
In parallel with the conclusion of a structural partnership agreement relating to the creation and operation of the new location, the region invited the Center Pompidou to take over the general commissioning of the programming presented during the foreshadowing phase between the release of the site by Citroën in January 2018 and the start of site redevelopment work planned for September 2019.

The purpose of this contract is to appoint a partner specialized in the recruitment, management and placement of staff responsible for "mediation of museum spaces", as soon as possible and within the framework of the entire period preceding the inauguration of the future cultural center (around 36 months). The contracting authority chooses the open procedure. This service contract comprises a single lot. It is a price schedule market.
