The Council arranges a tenants’ contents insurance scheme which offers tenants a quality insurance product specifically designed to meet their needs, which is competitively priced against what is available in the market, both in terms of premiums, level of cover and excesses.
The procurement was carried out using an Open Tendering procedure in order to achieve a contract compliant with EU and Scottish Procurement Legislation.
Offers for the contract were invited on 9 May 2023 in accordance with the Open Tendering procedures as defined in the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations. This contract was advertised as a ‘Concession’ contract as the Council collect premiums from tenants and in turn pass this onto the contractor. There is therefore no cost to the Council.
