The Arendal Port Authority shall within 30.4.2013 have new fenders in place for two of the cruise piers in the town centre of Arendal. The quays that are in need of the new fenders are the hotel and battery piers, which are respectively 77 and 110 meters long.

Initially, the quays will primarily be for cruise ships. The new fenders must be dimensioned for ships with a length of up to 280 meters.
