This contract is to enable Irish Water to comply with its statutory obligations in relation to the inspection and certification of lifting equipment. Thorough examination and inspection of lifting equipment accessories is required under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Regulations 2007 (S.I. No. 299 of 2007) as amended by the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Regulations 2007 (S.I. No. 732 of 2007).
The contract shall include the independent and competent examination of lifting equipment, production of records of inspection, management information reports and access to a web based portal. The statutory Inspections involve approximately 40,000 items of equipment located on all Irish Water sites, across 31 Local Authority's. Irish Water is seeking to appoint suppliers on a regional basis for the inspection and certification of lifting equipment. The services will included a requirement for applicants to be appointed as Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP)
