Festspillene i Bergen intends to enter into a contract with a hotel or a hotel chain (hereafter called the tenderer) that can mainly, but not limited to, cover Festspillene's need for accommodation for all artists and guests of Festspillene during the festival. Festspillene lasts for 15 days at the end of May and the beginning of June, with varying start and end dates each year. The opening is always on a Wednesday, normally the first Wednesday after 17 May. The first guests will normally arrive five to eight days before the opening day.
