In the course of the plant optimisation and performance improvement project, GEVAG's output is to be increased by 20%.
For the planned increase in performance, an adiabatic furnace temperature of approx. 1,250 to 1,300°C is expected. This increases the O2 content to approx. 8.7 vol%tr and the flue gas volume flow increases slightly.
In the future, greater heat degradation will be necessary up to the convection part of the boiler so that sufficient water can be evaporated with increased output. This is done by replacing refractory material with cladding surfaces. To increase performance, the entire front and rear walls are completely replaced by cladded boiler tube walls.
