An otter house with an attached outdoor enclosure will be built on the site of the Multimar Wattforum. The contract includes landscaping work for the design of the enclosure and outdoor facilities as well as adapting the new facility to the adjacent stock. This includes path construction, terrain, wall, fence, sowing and planting work
“Outdoor facilities with an area of around 9,000 m² are largely being redesigned. An outdoor enclosure in the south is located in front of the otterhaus, which is enclosed by a curved wall with a fence running on it. The enclosure itself is designed close to nature with a pond, roots and boulders.
The outdoor area is opened up with paths made of water-bound paths. To observe the otters, a lawn stand with isolated seat walls is created.
The 9,000 m² includes:
200 m² paving surfaces (concrete and clinker)
2,700 m² of water-bound pathway mat
6,500 m² of lawn
There is only a simple greening, lawns are sown new, the enclosure is planted in places with reeds. Two head willows are planted next to the new otterhaus.
Benches and waste bins are provided. A rod mat fence with three double-leaf gates is being drawn around the site on two sides.”
