Leeds Bradford Airport (the Airport) is seeking to appoint a contractor to provide fuel farm management and into-plane fuelling services.
The key responsibilities of the appointed contractor will be to provide the Airport with a safe, cost efficient and operationally effective system for receipt, storage and distribution of aviation fuel to the Airport's airline partners and at all times ensure that adequate fuel stocks are available to service the fuelling operation. The appointed contractor will be responsible for the management of Airport owned fuel facilities, re-fuelling vehicles and associated equipment including product quality assurance, stock management and into-plane fuelling operations in line with all appropriate industry standards and maintaining a management of safety, security, health and environmental objectives.
The Airport has a mix of scheduled services and inclusive tour charter flights. The forecasted throughput for the fuel farm for 2017/2018 is 101 million litres.
The appointment is expected to be for an initial term of 3 years, with the option for the Airport to extend the term by a further 2 year period.
