The Norwegian Directorate of Immigration invites interested suppliers to apply to be qualified for a dynamic purchasing system for kitchen packages.
The framework agreement will comply with the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration's requirement for kitchen packages in a normal situation for arrivals, and possibly for a stand-by situation for high numbers of arrivals.
Asylum seekers in ordinary reception centres self-cater and prepare their own food according to their wishes. They need basic kitchen equipment and tools, crockery and cutlery, mainly plastic and stainless steel. UDI has solved this by giving asylum seekers a kitchen package upon arrival at an ordinary asylum reception centre.
Single adult asylum seekers and families of up to two persons who are to be housed in an ordinary asylum reception centre with self-catering, receive a basic kitchen package. Families of 3-4 persons get an additional package, families of 5-6 persons get two additional packages, etc.
