Brief description of the measure:
The development of a preliminary design concept for the building and open space planning of a multifunctional building complex including two day-care centres, HzE accommodation for residential groups for youth welfare services and a further component of use office space for the Leipzig city administration was conceived as a restricted interdisciplinary design competition for architects/engineers with building submission authorisation with an upstream participation competition and subsequent negotiation procedure according to VgV.
The jury meeting will take place in September 2023. It is planned to select 3 prize winners, who will be invited to the VgV procedure.
In order to be able to bind the specialist planners for this project in a timely manner, the tenders for the specialist disciplines are now being issued in parallel, in this case the specialist planning for technical building equipment HLS/E.
On the property to be planned, there is currently a children's day care facility "Kindertagesstätte am Zoo" from 1969 with an adjacent open space to the south and west, including old trees. The existing building of the daycare center Nordstraße 43 was built in monolithic construction. The building, with a floor area of 736 m², runs parallel to Ernst-Pinkert-Straße and is located in the middle of the eastern half of the total
4,689 m² plot. However, the existing building of the KiTa has numerous defects. The building envelope, technical systems as well as sanitary and electrical installations are in need of extensive renovation. Likewise, today's requirements for thermal insulation, energy efficiency, fire protection, sound insulation and accessibility are not met. For these reasons, the demolition of the building is planned. In the future, after an interim solution, the use of the daycare center will be part of the planned multifunctional building complex.
With regard to the planning of new buildings, the applicable technical regulations with their requirements for fire protection, barrier-free construction and the specifications of the Saxon Building Code (SächsBO) must be complied with. In addition, the Technical Rules for Workplaces (ASR) and the Structural Standards of the City of Leipzig for the construction of daycare centers, HzE and administrative accommodation must be observed.
The buildings must be barrier-free.
With the publication of this call for tenders on evergabe, the documents for the 1st stage of the procedure are deposited and made available for download. With the invitation of the selected applicants, the documents for the 2nd level will be integrated on e-award.
