The contract comprises the following:

- Procurement of two electric winches for out and in winding of cables with a diameter of 26 mm.

- Disassembly of coupling boxes and existing slip rings from old winches.

- Out winding of existing cables (recycling)

Disassembly of existing hydraulic winches with drums. These are placed in the parking lot just outside the winch house. Further disposal is carried out by the operations organisation at the measuring station.

- Assembly of existing slip rings and coupling boxes on the new winches. Forsvarsmateriell (FMA) [the Norwegian Defence Materiel Agency] takes care of the termination of the cables in the coupling boxes.

- Coupling and commissioning of the new winches.

- Winding in existing cables on new winches.

There are two identical hydraulic winches at Heggernes measuring station that are used to spool in/out cabling. These winches date from 1993 and are worn out and ready to be replaced. They will be replaced by two identical new electric winches that will perform the same job.

A system with two winches that spool cables over each other (i.e. the winches are physically positioned/designed so that one cable passes just above the other). The tenderer can choose whether to deliver two separate winches and construct a suitable system for this, or offer a possible standard system with both winches integrated on a shared frame, as is the case with the existing old winches.

The winches shall be operated separately one at a time and must be able to do this using the existing power supply at the measuring station, which is 230V AC 60Hz 63A.

The existing slip rings and coupling boxes will be removed from the existing old winches and used on the new winches.

The assignment is further described in Annex 1, the Requirement description. This specification describes technical requirements for both the winches, the cabling they must manage, all technical and operator interfaces, as well as requirements for training and maintenance.

An inspection of the Heggernes measuring station will be carried out on 4 October 2023 at 12:00. The deadline for registration is 26 September 2023. During the inspection, the following will be discussed:

- Physical inspection of existing winches. If necessary, take measurements of physical dimensions and assess the room/space for the new installation.

- Inspection of connections and remote control devices/controls.

- Any other questions tenderers may wish to ask.
