The medical waste includes needles, syringes, vaccines, antisera/snake vaccines, powders, capsules, pills and related medical waste. The waste is composed of glass, steel, plastic, rubber and cardboard. The waste is not biohazardous.

The size of the contract is estimated to total a maximum of 416,000 kg of medical waste for the entire term. This estimate includes all options for extension.
