In the drainage division of the Zweckverband Ostholstein, periodic inspections of stationary electrical systems of wastewater pumping systems are to be carried out. These tests are intended to prove the proper condition of the electrical system. These systems are to be fully tested, and if necessary, the test must be extended to new, missing parts. In addition to the accident prevention regulation DGUV Regulation 4 "Electrical systems and equipment", the basis for the periodic inspection is the Industrial Safety Ordinance (BetrSichV), with the "Technical Rules for Operational Safety" (TRBS) that specify it, and above all the standard DIN VDE 0105-100 "Operation of electrical systems". Since the systems also have a potentially explosive atmosphere, this must also be included in the test and, in particular, TRBS 1201 Part 1 – Testing of systems in potentially explosive atmospheres – must be observed.
