Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council is looking to establish a contract with a single supplier who can provide a ‘one stop’ shop for all required interpreting and translation services (with the exception of British Sign Language and related non-verbal services). The Council are looking to contract with a supplier whom they can build a clear and transparent relationship with, promoting a good working relationship and continuous improvement strategies. This will support the Council’s commitment for the delivery of services fairly and equitably to a diverse community in line with the Equality Act 2010.
Language specialisms are likely to be required for, but not to be limited to; social care (children and adults), legal, medical, health, financial, IT, media, education, transportation, marketing, housing, benefits, community schools, immigration and local government.
The successful bidder will be able to provide all of the below services as a minimum and will provide pricing for these services (as detailed within the pricing schedule in part 3 of the tender pack):
— translation and interpretation services,
— face to face interpreting,
— telephone interpreting,
— document translation, transcription and additional services (written),
— easy read,
— braille,
— video interpreting.
