The agreement consists of work on public lighting in the municipality and a number of parts:

- preventive maintenance,

- corrective maintenance,

- management,

- claim settlement,

- optional: replacement.

The numbers stated in the specifications concern the expected numbers for all the above activities during the entire maximum contract period.

The agreement is entered into with one contractor for a minimum period of two years, with the option of extending it twice by one year up to a maximum contract term of four years. The effective date of the agreement is 1.3.2021.

There is no merged assignment in this. This concerns activities that are carried out within the municipal boundaries of the municipality of Deurne and that fall under its sole responsibility. In addition, the work only concerns public lighting, so the assignment is not combined with regard to the nature of the work.

Because these are partial assignments, the client expects this assignment to be entirely in line with the capabilities of the SME and for this reason it is not necessary to divide the assignment into lots. A division within the contract into lots, for example into geographic (sub) areas, is not desirable, because then the lots will become too small in terms of financial value. In addition, the social costs for both the municipality and the contractor, especially if several contractors are contracted, become too high. By not dividing into lots, the municipality has to deal with one contractor and (therefore) one point of contact.
