The Grangegorman Development Agency (GDA) was established under the Grangegorman Development Agency Act, 2005. The primary function of the Act is to facilitate the development of the Grangegorman site in Dublin as a modern campus for the Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) to provide the health service executive (HSE) with upgraded primary health and social care facilities and to provide other facilities to the local community.
As part of the project vision for the development of Grangegorman, Section 3.1.3) of the Grangegorman planning scheme 2012 (adopted by Dublin City Council) provides for a primary school on the site: http://www.dublincity.ie/main-menu-services-planning-urban-development-plans-local-area-plans/grangegorman-sdz-planning
A service level agreement (SLA) between the GDA and the Department of Education and Skills (DoES) has been signed for the provision of a new national school (D7NS) on the Grangegorman campus, Grangegorman, Dublin 7.
The GDA wishes to establish a single party framework agreement for Architectural Led Design Team Services for the design and construction of a primary school at Grangegorman.
The initial contract under the framework is intended to constitute design and construction of a 16 classroom primary school at Grangegorman.
