Various Services for the implementation of the Girls Go Circular Project (https://eit-girlsgocircular.eu/)
Under the Digital Education Action Plan (2021-2027), which outlines the European Commission's vision for high-quality, inclusive and accessible digital education in Europe, and under Action 13 "Encourage women's participation in STEM" (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics), the European Commission expects the EIT and the KICs to equip 40,000 girls aged 14-19 with digital skills by the end of 2024 through a learning programme that engages girls in an EIT-branded digital learning platform.
The Girls Go Circular Project (www.eit-girls-gocircular.eu) will achieve this ambition and involve secondary school students in selected countries that will participate in a 1-day training on digital skills and the circular economy.
As the coordinating KIC of the Girls Go Circular Project, EIT RawMaterials is seeking a professional organisation or project consortium to render the following services:
- engage secondary schools from all the countries,
- train teachers and facilitators to guide girls through the online courses,
- support schoolteachers in delivering the learning programme,
- recruit teachers and students.
Provision and operation of an online learning platform based on Moodle Workplace
- Fully manage Moodle Workplace hosting and administrative support. Dedicated hosting of (circularlearningspace.eu) Moodle Workplace site. Including SSL, all application and server security updates, backups and bandwidth consumed.
- Project management support to assist in overseeing the successful delivery of planned upgrade to MWP.
- Remote consultancy support to assist in up-skilling new features of interest from Major upgrades. Plus implementation support to ensure smooth planned upgrade.
- UX development support to upgrade custom theme.
- Extension of core Moodle Workplace reports to include additional fields for reporting on user creation date, with the code being contributed to Moodle for inclusion in future Moodle Workplace versions.
- Custom design platform"s visualizations as well as functionalities
ICT development and technical implementation consulting services related to the online learning platform circularlearningspace.eu:
- Support the further development of the platform in collaboration with the Moodle Partner.
- Support the development and improvement of the online learning modules
- Support with the Girls Go Circular website maintenance.
Translation Services in the framework of the Girls Go Circular Project. Source language is English and the target languages in 2023 are: Italian, Portuguese, Romanian, Bulgarian, Greek, Hungarian, Polish, Serbian, Lithuanian, Slovenian, Ukranian, Estonian, Dutch, German, French, Maltese.
Depending on the extension of the contract additional languages in 2024 and 2025 will be: Spanish, Latvian, Czech, Swedish, Finnish, Danish, Croatian, Slovak
