Acquisition, delivery and commissioning of an inspection system in radiography and X-ray tomography within the Centre de Recherche et de Restauration des Musées de France (C2RMF) on behalf of FR3506 CNRS- New-AGLAE
The Centre de Recherche et de Restauration des Musées de France (C2RMF), created in 1999, is a multidisciplinary centre that plays a major role in the conservation, restoration, research and documentation of heritage objects. The C2RMF houses a research unit, the New AGLAE Research Federation, FR3506 CNRS-MC-ChimieParistech, which manages the EquipEx+ ESPADON program. As part of this program, the unit and the C2RMF wish to expand their field of expertise and acquire a high-energy X-ray radiography and tomography platform, intended for heritage objects, allowing the analysis of constituent materials and the study of manufacturing and restoration techniques as well as their valorization. The new equipment will contribute to a network of multi-site, multi-scale X-ray tomography and physico-chemical imaging instruments.
To do this, this new custom-designed equipment will be installed in one of the X-ray rooms located in the C2RMF laboratory at the Louvre Museum, and will join a park of state-of-the-art scientific instruments. In order to adapt to the demand of the scientific community, the tomograph will allow, thanks to its modularity, to study objects ranging from a few centimeters (jewelry, statuettes) up to 2m in diameter and 2m50 in height (sculptures, furniture).
In addition, the C2RMF provides the RX 450kV tube (COMET 450HP11) whose high energy will make it possible to pass through works made of dense materials.
The desired system is described in the Special Specification (CCP) No 2023_Système of tomographie_FR3506
Three (3) optional additional services (PSE) are offered:
PSE n°1: Laminography option. The new equipment will allow the acquisition of radiography on the principle of laminography for the study of flat objects.
PSE n°2: One-year warranty extension
PSE n°3: Maintenance contract
