Thermo-hydromechanical sizing of underground storage facilities for High Level Waste (HA), Medium Long-Life Activity (MAVL) and Used Fuels (CU):
The purpose of sizing is to define the geometric configuration of a neighborhood that minimizes its construction cost based on three geometric parameters. The sizing is done over a period of 1,000 years which must cover the thermal peaks (package and medium) and the peak of effective stress.
Calculation of the temporal evolution of the temperature of structures (packages and cells):
The objective is to calculate the temporal evolution of temperature — between 0 and 1,000,000 years — at given points of the storage cell whose configuration is defined. The calculations will ensure that the temperatures reached in the works meet the maximum temperature constraints set by ANDRA as well as the regulatory constraints of the storage areas.
The services to be performed are as follows:
— use of a model for a standard HA or CU dimensioning (estimate of a quantitative of 80 benefits);
— use of a model for advanced HA or CU dimensioning (estimate of a quantitative of 40 benefits);
— use of a model to carry out an advanced sensitivity study HA or CU (estimate of a quantitative of 20 benefits);
— use of a model for standard MAVL dimensioning (estimate of a quantitative of twelve benefits);
— graphic representation (HA-CU-MAVL);
— representation of isovalues (estimate of a quantitative of five benefits);
— graphic representation (HA-CU-MAVL);
— temperature and pressure profiles (estimate of a quantitative of two benefits);
— realization of a model allowing the realization of standard HA dimensioning (estimation of a quantitative of a service);
— realization of a model to carry out standard dimensioning and advanced HA sensitivities studies (estimation of a quantitative of a service);
— realization of a model to carry out MAVL dimensioning (estimation of a quantitative of a service);
— calculation of the temporal evolution of temperature at points of the storage cell for a given storage scenario (estimate of a quantitative of eight benefits).
A volume of 170 services are envisaged over the duration of the contract.
